Headquarters for maintenance and operations management: The second party is responsible for providing a strategic location within the boundaries of the Great Port of Al-Faw for the first party, equipped with a workshop for the purpose of maintaining boats and establishing an emergency response center and services to support the “Search, Rescue and Marine Pollution Control” project and managing operations. Details of the location are documented in a separate document.
Training and support: The second party holds training courses in various fields for all marine workers and crews, and provides all first aid supplies for oil spills and marine pollution.
We include protection and guarding: The second party protects ships , marine facilities and related property , carries out periodic patrols on ships and facilities to ensure safety and protection, implements evacuation procedures in emergency or disaster situations , and participates in emergency drills and periodic security training to ensure readiness and preparedness to deal with emergency situations.
Discussing contracts: The second party discusses the merits of the contract with the clients, which includes the following: Preparing initial contract documents that specify the proposed terms and conditions of the contract. The discussant organizes the negotiation sessions between the parties, where each clause in the contract is carefully discussed and reviewed . After signing the contract, he follows up on the implementation of the terms. The obligations stipulated in the contract, and ensuring that they are implemented correctly by all parties.
Document and procedures management: The second party manages all necessary documents for towing, mooring, and transportation of marine crews, such as the daily operations report, documents (vessel certificates, manifest , departure and entry certificates, towing and weight/ GRT certificates , crew list… etc.) for all… He also arranges logistical procedures and ensures compliance with all local and international regulations and laws .
Monitoring the movement of ships: The second party follows the movement of ships in all stages of towing operations, docking, transfer of marine crews, inspection, berthing areas and vacant berths in conjunction with the ship’s schedule, and provides regular updates to the concerned parties regarding the status and any potential delay .
Financial management: The second party prepares and reviews the monthly reconciliations between the internal monthly operations report and the report issued by the client, investigates any practical or financial discrepancies, sends monthly invoices to clients, and fully follows up on monthly collections.
Banking relations: The second party assists the first party with all banking transactions, which include opening bank accounts, determining bank commissions, issuing all categories of bank guarantees, documentary credits, and discussing foreign currency exchange rates against the Iraqi dinar.
Risk management: The second party works to provide advice and advice on managing potential risks in towing and mooring operations Fire and ambulance cases, evacuating the sick and injured , and dealing with any legal problems or potential delays .
List iteProblem solving: If any problem occurs during the towing and docking process, the second party handles that problem effectively, whether it is delays in the schedule, or any problems related to logistics .
International Relations: The second party is responsible for building strong relationships with international shipping companies and government agencies (General Company for Iraqi Ports, Basra Oil Company…etc.) .
Information Technology: The second party uses advanced information technology systems to manage data and information related to towing and docking operations, which facilitates tracking and communication with relevant parties .
Inventory Management: In some cases, the provision of inventory management services, which include storage of supplies, spare parts and supplies, and ship operating oils/fuels, is the responsibility of the second party.
Compliance and legislation: The second party must comply with all local and international legislation and regulations, and must have a precise understanding of these legislation and how to apply them in its operations .
Insurance and risk management: The second party analyzes risks and provides appropriate solutions to insure shipments and reduce potential risks.
